He is a regular on BBC TV and radio and has been interviewed by Pam Ayres on BBC Radio 2 and in the past with both David Bellamy and Mark Horton.

As a member of the audience said to him after listening to one of his talks, "I felt as though I was with you, in my overalls, getting my hands dirty”.

All talks are illustrated with the latest digital equipment, including a short film or two, and last for about 1 hour. A basic fee of £35 is charged, plus travelling expenses based on fuel cost as indicated for the return journey shown on Google Maps.
