In his talk, Chris Witts describes how nature creates the bore, those that choose to surf the bore, the declining salmon fishing in the estuary, elver and eel fishing. Finally he describes what it is like to steer a large cargo barge loaded with 250 tonnes of grain around the tight bends of the river whilst riding the bore!
