Chris Witts discovered an old book written in 1915 by a M Lanchester who had walked along the Severn, making notes and sketches on the way. In 1995 Chris did the same and when comparing notes realised that the river today is a lot different than that of 80 years ago.
This new book is of the same format as Lanchester's, observations of what there is on the river today, together with sketches of the sights that Lanchester would not have seen. The massive water cooling towers of the power station at the Ironbridge Gorge for example.
