Sharpness

The only commercial port remaining on the River Severn. Ships from all around the world can be handled here, but the days of seeing old steamers has long gone. Now it is the modern coastal vessel with quick turn round times making the stay at Sharpness very brief.

Not an area where many tourists come, but a pleasant hour can be spent down by the piers watching the ships come in and out, but make sure you visit when the tide is in or you will be disappointed.
