Decision required on the Severn Barrage

Politicians and residents are calling on the Government to give the go-ahead for the Severn Barrage.
The Lords European Union Committee are saying that the scheme will take so long to build the Government will have to rely on other renewable energy sources to meet demand.
Many feel that the barrage will destroy the natural environment of the River Severn and are totally opposed to seeing it built. They feel there are other ways of harnessing power from the river, such as tidal pools, etc.
