The Great British Torso Mystery |
| Amidst great
media attention the long awaited book about the infamous Haw Bridge torso
murder mystery was launched today at Haw Bridge. From the River Severn in 1938, by fishermen at Haw Bridge, entangled in their salmon net, was a human torso, its head, arms and legs hacked away! Thus began the start of one of the country's most sinister and gruesome murder cases. No sure motive, a cause of death, or any positive identification was ever made. The culprit of this hideous piece of butchery remains unknown. Richard Whittington-Egan, with the help of Keith Smart and Andrew Parry, have compiled the complete story of this unsolved murder mystery. Once you begin to read the book you will be unable to put it down. |
