SEVERN LEVELS VERY LOW

Lack of rain is causing concern along the River Severn. Levels are at a record low, with Gloucester having only two thirds of the average depth for July!
A recent photograph taken of the Clywedog Dam near to the source of the Severn shows low water levels. This lake is supposed to act as a feeder to the Severn during low water levels and to hold the rainfall during winter, thus stopping the river flooding.
