RSP Home River Severn Tales Chris Witts STARS OF A NEW TV FILM ABOUT THE RIVER SEVERN

28th July 2015

To be screened early in 2016, a new TV documentary for Channel 4 called Treasures of Britain, is currently being filmed from the source of the Severn down towards Gloucester. One of the presenters is well known former BBC Newsreader, Michael Buerk.

Recently Chris Witts spent a morning in the Hafren Forest with Michael being filmed as they walked together along the course of this great river. “I have taken part in many films about the Severn but this was one of the best”, said Chris. “It was easy talking to Michael that we did it all in one take. At times I forgot we were being filmed!”

From the Hafren Forest Michael Buerk and the film crew travelled to Crewgreen to film a coracle before carrying on down-river to Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth before finishing at Worcester.

Michael Buerke deep in thought ready for the next take.
