TWO YOUNG LADS DIE IN SEVERN

A man has appeared in court charged with causing the deaths of the two lads by dangerous driving. Peter Pritchard appeared at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court on Monday. He is the elder brother of one of the boys, 13yr old Michael Pritchard. The other lad has been named as 12yr old Alex Wills.
The two thirteen year old lads died when they were trapped in a car which had plunged into the River Severn near Sydney Avenue, Shrewsbury at 1am on Saturday 17th November.

The Emergency Services found the car submerged and a man in his 30s who had escaped and raised the alarm
Peter Pritchard is 31yrs old and is also charged with drink driving. He has now been bailed until February 11th 2002 on condition that he lives with his brother in Telford.
The funeral of the two boys will take place in seperate services at All Saints Church, Castlefields next Tuesday.
