Lower Lode Ferry Stolen

Twelve months ago the Environment Agency stopped the historic Lower Lode ferry from operating across the Severn. They were concerned that one of the moorings posed a risk during times of flooding.

To comply with their wishes the platform was removed and the ferry resumed service on June 1st

Now fresh problems greet the landlords of the famous Lower Lode Inn, operators of the famous Severn ferry. Recently the ferry was stolen and was found drifting downstream with its outboard engine removed.
