yachtsman, Tony Bullimore, officially launched the new lifeboat for the Severn
Area Rescue Association at Sharpness on Saturday. Named the MARION SHAW, this
new Inshore Rescue boat will be stationed at Sharpness to provide valuable
cover to this dangerous stretch of the River Severn.
Following the blessing of the boat by the Reverend Boon
and the naming of the MARION SHAW by Tony Bullimore, the lifeboat was launched
and a demonstration was provided by the crew.
